We heard from a lot of users that they'd like us to integrate with Twitter in various ways. Today we just announced our first Twitter integration--now you can send questions to Aardvark via Twitter:
1. Go to http://vark.com/profile/twitter to set up Aardvark to recognize your Twitter handle
2. Just include ‘@vark’ and a question mark (’?') in your tweet
3. Aardvark will find the perfect person to answer, and Direct Message you their response in a few minutes

IM and Twitter are converging anyway (e.g., Adium, a popular IM client for the Mac now supports Twitter), so I think this makes sense. The biggest limitation is Twitter's 140 character limit. It would be nice to have a convenient way to tweet a question asked via IM or the website as well as to allow people to respond via Twitter.
Sometimes I pit Aardvark versus Twitter when i ask questions. Aardvark usually wins for actually answering the question. Twitter usually wins for snarky comebacks. :-)

Most of the people I recommend to aardvark complain that they aren't getting enough questions. I am all for adding more questions to the system.

this is a cool Idea. I'm all for working more than Twitter. It's way more convenient than even IM.
