Be able to create groups, control who gets in those group, and who can answer questions in group
This is really aimed for technology solutions, but could apply elsewhere like work projects. Say you operate in a niche technology / project (this is the GROUP), and users/developers/team members are working a project (CONTROL WHO GETS IN TO THE GROUP), and you only want those team members getti... more

vark groups has a great community value and well business value. Companies can chose to provide support via vark as well as groups like Linux Users Groups :D.

I share the interest on groups for internal products and company training. I see there is now a group option, is this the group feature or are you planning something else?

Feedback - Please groups nickname minimum chars limit should be 4chars, for example my company has 5chars name, but now due to current limit of minimum 8 chars I have to change company name while creating group? :(

Groups seems a habinger of users controlling access, something I can imagine is anathema to the vark.com bidness paln. LinkedIn has built a nightmare for themselves with groups and commecial interests literally breaking down the doors trying to get in front of "anyone", not just specific "someone's"! ;D

If the future for SociaNetworking is about open-archtitecture, the move toward vark-groups precedes closed siloes of specific information tha behoove vark downstream (in a monetization context) but not the community of users who just want answers. look out Vark. here come the questionless marketers seeking not answers but prospects, whether you want them or not! ;D
I'm intrigued, and plan to watch anmd participate in this process as it enfolds.

this could be SO useful for school. example- set up a group that houses all students that have the same teacher for the same class (not necessarily the same period). you could ask for notes, clarification, homework help, ect.
this brings up the point of having a group "leader"
there should be a leader that is permitted to see all the questions asked(and possibly the answers) and be able to add their own answer. this would be the teacher in my example or the boss of project.

This would be a great feature for educational organizations. I can also see how this would be useful for customer service applications in businesses. (For example, if you needed tech support on a gadget you could submit your question to the company and Aardvark could find the person/dept who could help. Vs. waiting on hold on the phone and getting bounced to several people to get help, it would save the customer time and frustration and would be more efficient for the company, too.)

+1 I would *love* to be able to create some affinity groups

I really need this type of Group feature.

Kind of like bug trackers? Hehehe

It's funny, just yesterday we were trying to figure out who knew about a specific feature in our product, and we started joking that we needed our own internal Aardvark. This would actually give us that feature. Nifty!
