    allow for users to be anonymous. at times I do not want to send specific response archived under me

    don't want to have one username. would like an anonymous username i can use as well.

    Aardvark is about real people interacting with real people, which is why we ask everyone to use their real names--just like on Facebook.

    That said, we understand that there are personal topics that come up, in which case it might be preferred to ask or answer anonymously. I'd love to hear what other people on the forum think about this topic.

    Cater to Programmers and Web Developers

    I'd like to see an API for Aardvark so I can easily create widgets for my sites or other sorts of applications to tap Aardvark.

    make history searchable

    currently there is no search facility available in history page..If one has to refer back to a question he had posted in the past, it requires a lot of efforts...leads to enormous wastage of time and frustration...having a search box ot search for past questions would be of great help

    Provide a better way to rate answers

    I get a lot of answers that are in the form of "Well, I'm not really sure but I think it might be ____". That's not a useful answer and I would like there to be a way to mark it as such, something like "You don't really know so there was no need to bother answering".

    interface with Twitter accounts and followers to build network

    It would be great if people could tell Aardvark their twitter account, so Vark could find people in my followers/friends network to be connected with. I don't use FaceBook much but I use Twitter and have a big network, so I'm much more likely to get connected via Twitter.

    Would you be more interested in importing people you're following, followers, or people who are in both categories?

    Support LinkedIn

    I would like to be able to synch my LinkedIn social graph with Aardvark and also to have my profile topics and groups transfer over.

    add a 'wikipedia' command, like 'google'

    Just like you can simply reply with 'google' to send related search results, a 'wikipedia' command would also be useful if you think Wikipedia would have the right answer.

    Add "quiet hours" so 'vark doesn't IM my phone at 2am.

    I've got an IM capable phone (Android G1) and 'vark frequently IM's me in the middle of the night with questions. I'd prefer to just say "Don't IM me between 10pm and 9am" and have that a setting in my account. Additionally, you could restrict by day of week, or arbitrary date ranges... more

    More screencasts/videos to show people not on Aardvark what it is.

    Most people I know who haven't signed up, don't understand what it is, and think it would be an annoyance to sign up for this service, show them they're wrong by making some cool screencasts or videos.

    add mobile texting support

    Add the ability to text Aardvark your questions via mobile SMS and have the responses texted back.

    We've prioritized our iPhone app at the moment, but we're definitely talking about implementing some version of Aardvark via SMS in the future.

    One hack in the meantime is to implement IM forwarding on your phone so that instant messages can be sent to your phone via SMS when you're not online. If you have any questions about this, email me at alison@aardvarkteam.com

    Allow asking people nearby (by geolocation)

    Sometimes you want questions to be routed by people _near you_, not necessarily on your network or with knowledge on a given topic (for example "what's causing this traffic jam? anyone up ahead knows if it was an accident, etc.?")

    This is something that we've definitely talked about - especially for mobile platforms. I'll keep you posted on what we end up doing!

    Use the Vark logo as your IM avatar

    I've always loved the Vark, and given how important brand recognition is, Aardvark is well placed. I think the Vark should show his face (ok, well snout) in the GMail chat window, for instance.

    share stats on how many users are logged on from where in the world, purely for coolness sake

    A visual Indicator for open unanswered Qs

    A visual indicator or indicative status message indicator which tells us that open unanswered questions (number) are present in the network

    Resubmit automatically on negative answer rating

    When I get an answer that did not answer the question, and I rate it as "Kind of, but not for me" or "No", I suggest that the question should automatically be resubmitted by Aardvark, since I still don't know the answer.

    Voice Answer and Replies

    My idea is to add a quick voice support... what i mean is that we could easilly by pressing a button request the other person, who asked the question or who answered it, to help us further by starting a voice chat with that person allowing us to quickly devellop ideas and answer while looking on ... more
