This is googleable button
Correct me if I am wrong but this place was made for asking questions for which an answer could not be found easily using google search.
Half the answers I have given to people, could have been answered by simple search on any search engine in matter of seconds.

A 'Bad Answer' button, or 'Non Context' button
When you post a question, and someone answers with something completely unrelated, and daft, just to be funny or annoying. After so many rank the same ID that answers questions incorrectly, Admins are flagged, to nail that persons fingers to the desk... or .. some other form of warning / ... more
Status: completedI apologize if you've received a bad answer! We have an answer rating feature that does something similar. Via IM, just type 'train' or rate it as not helpful in your question history (http://vark.com/history)

Create a 'spam' short command to reply a question if it is considered a s spam
reply to a spam question with 'spam'
spammers usually wants to advertise their service. so... i think aardvark should log the frequency of links / domain that enters question box. If there is a lot of links pointing to the same domain.. over and over again.. it would most probably a spam. you ca... more
Status: completedI apologize for any spam that you received! Aardvark tries to filter out as much spam as possible, but some things slip through. If this happens, you can use the 'flag' command to notify the Aardvark team. Hope that helps!

Attributing more "topics" to a question
I noticed that questions are put under one general topic, it would be great if I can add more topics to my question.
Status: completedHi John, where would you like to be able to do this? Currently you can enter a topic into a box (as you mentioned in the comments) by hitting 'edit label' immediately after asking on Vark.com or by going to http://vark.com/history
Via IM, you can add a list of tags by typing 'tag:' followed by a comma-separated list.
I'd love to hear more about how we can make this more intuitive!

auto suggest new categories for me
if i answer question from the open category and if i do it quite frequently for certain key words, then the system should be able to suggest that category to me automatically
Status: completedWe do! If you go to http://vark.com/topics you'll see Suggested Topics on the right if Aardvark has some topics that it thinks you should add to your profile. You can also type 'add' after answering a question to add that topic to your profile.

Allow me to listen to answers of a question that was asked of me if I don't know the answer
Sometimes questions come to me that I have no idea what the answer is but I would be very interested in knowing the answer myself. I would like the ability to see the actual answers that do come in even if I don't know it myself.
Status: completedJust type 'see' or hit 'I'd like to know, too' :)

Merging of common categories
When I ask something about food, it can get tagged 'recipes' for which there are 900 users, but if I tag it cooking there are 37,500+. it would make sense to have more general categories so you can reach the greatest number of potential answerers.
Status: completedWhile it isn't visible to the asker, Aardvark tags most questions with several tags on the back-end in order to find people who know about related topics, so a question tagged 'recipes' could go to someone with the topic 'cooking'. Sorry for not making this more clear!

May be it would be a good idea to add "translation" to the topic list.
My guess is that there are many users who know other languages and can offer short translations from and to English.
Status: completedLike Joseph mentioned in the comments, you can selection translations from the topic list on http://vark.com/profile/topics - you can also enter any topic you'd like manually on that page. Hope that helps!

rate the answers
Have you given thought to rating the quality of the answers? It seems to me that some of the folks providing answers are particularly knowledgeable and/or adept at searching out answers. It might be nice to recognize
that by having those who ask the question rate how useful they find the answers... moreStatus: completedYou can rate answers! :) Just type 'train' via IM or rate answers in your history at http://vark.com/history
Currently we don't share these ratings publicly, but they help Aardvark decide who to send questions to in the future.

Rating
Give us the ability to rate questions like I cant answer that, and than remember what I cant answer so as not to ask similar questions in the future
Status: completedAs Antonio mentioned in the comments, you can do this by typing 'mute' after you receive a question about a topic that you don't know anything about. Aardvark also knows which questions you've passed on and we're working to use this improve the quality of questions we send you in the future. Hope that helps!

Getting more answers
A majour problem is the fact that if one asks the question only one more person gets to answer it so try to have a button that says satisifed or not and if not the question gets psoted to more people.
I saw some people posting their questions twice that way clutter will be avidedStatus: completedThere's a way to do this :) If you're using Aardvark via IM, simply type 'resubmit' to get more answers. You can also resubmit questions online at http://vark.com/history - hope that helps!

Add UK Support!
The sign up menu asks for a state that it knows, but the UK doesn't have states!
Status: completedI apologize for the confusion! We do support the UK - if you start typing the name of your city, Aardvark will start searching for it in our database. Hope that helps!

Status: completedYou can! :) You can add tags one-at-a-time after submitting a question, or just enter them in a comma-separated list. Hope that helps!

transcript should = answer + additional comments
Often times I'll answer a question, and follow it up with several additional "followup" comments to the user, but when I look at the transcript, it only shows the first link. It should have the whole conversation, as maybe there's more info, or more clarity in the comments that will he... more
Status: completedConversation transcripts should be showing the entire conversation that you've had, including any follow up. If this isn't the case for you, I apologize for the issue and I'd love for you to submit the bug at http://vark.com/bugs
